Participants will engage in activities that provide understanding and experience with the sponsorship process and how its used to advance women's careers. The workshop will also include research, reusable materials, and videos. Key takeaways include the following: (1) Research on the importance of sponsorship to advance women professionally, (2) examples of successful sponsorship for women in Fresno Unified School District, (3) strategies to take ownership of and personal responsibility for finding and feeding sponsors while knowing the difference between mentoring, coaching, and sponsoring, and (4) strategies to become a sponsor for other women.
